An Atlanta high school was placed on lockdown Tuesday after a fight on campus led to social media death threats against a student.

The mother of the threatened Booker T. Washington High School student told Channel 2 Action News her daughter and another student got into a fight at the school.

Things escalated when the student and her brother went on Facebook Live and threatened to kill the girl while aiming a gun at the camera, Channel 2 reported.

The southwest Atlanta school was placed on lockdown while Atlanta Public Schools investigated the threats.

"The APS police department is investigating the altercation, including allegations of threats on social media following the incident,” APS said in a statement to the news station.
