Barrow County authorities aren’t saying much about a person found shot to death Saturday inside a car — but have confirmed a suspect was taken into custody.
At about 6 p.m. Saturday, the Barrow County Sheriff's Office wrote on its Facebook page that deputies had responded to the intersection of Old Hog Mountain and Charlie Hall roads to discover "a person that had been shot and was deceased in a vehicle." About two hours later, the sheriff's office wrote in a separate post that a suspect had been taken into custody, but it was unclear if that person had been charged in the case.
Attempts to contact a sheriff’s office spokesman were not immediately successful Sunday morning.
“We are not releasing the victim or suspect’s name at this time,” the sheriff’s office wrote on Facebook. “More information will be released when it is available.”
