An inmate who escaped from Paulding County deputies Tuesday was quickly captured, officials said.

Jasmine Dickover walked away from a work detail near Cole Lake Road and the Tuscany Trace subdivision about 1:30 p.m., Paulding sheriff's office spokeswoman Sgt. Ashley Henson said.

Dickover was taken into custody without incident about 4:30 p.m. in a wooded area near where she ran off.

Henson said Dickover, 31, was in jail on a failure to appear warrant related to an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle. She was on hold out of Polk County, Henson said.

Dickover may face new charges related to her escape.
