A Tuesday morning raid at a DeKalb County medical office was prompted by allegations of forgery, the spokesman for United States Attorney Sally Quillian Yates said.

About 8 a.m. Tuesday, federal law enforcement agents began entering the offices of Familly Practice of Atlanta in the 1400 block of Scott Boulevard, said Melissa Chedotal, Special Agent in Charge of the Atlanta Field Division of the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration.

"We are here executing a search warrant," she told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

She offered no other details.

Bob Page, Yates' spokesman, told Channel 2 Action News that officials were investigating a Family Practice of Atlanta employee who allegedly forged an IRS document.
