The FBI and DeKalb County police are seeking the public’s help in identifying two people involved in an armed robbery of an armored-car courier, a spokesman said.

About 2:30 p.m. Saturday, a man approached an armed Dunbar Armored Car courier while he was servicing an ATM at the Bank of America in the 3100 block of Turner Hill Road in Lithonia, FBI spokesman Stephen Emmett said. Brandishing a handgun, the man took an undisclosed amount of money.

One of the men was at least 5-foot-9, Emmett said. The man who took the money was wearing black clothes, a hooded sweatshirt and a ski mask. Not much else is available to describe either person.

Both men left the area in a dark Jeep Cherokee, Emmett said. The license plate had been removed.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 404-577-8477 or go online to crimestoppersatlanta.org. Tips can be left anonymously, and a reward of up to $2,000 is available.
