Fayetteville police are searching for an 18-year-old accused of repeatedly punching a relative during a domestic dispute last week before returning to the home later with a gun.

Officers responded to the house on Bridgestone Cove twice April 2, once after receiving a call about the initial fight, then several hours later after the victim told police the teenager returned and pointed a gun at them, Fayetteville police spokeswoman Ann Marie Burdett said.

The suspect, Emmanuel Joseph Remy, is wanted on several charges, including battery and aggravated assault, authorities said.

During the initial encounter, officers were told Remy punched his family member three times with a closed fist. He was gone by the time police arrived.

Remy’s relation to the family member was not disclosed.

Police returned to the home shortly before 11 p.m. after receiving a call that Remy returned to grab a jacket before punching a hole in the wall, throwing pieces of glass at the relative and pointing a black handgun at their face, authorities said.

After the second incident, Remy reportedly fled into the woods behind the home and has not been seen since.

Anyone who knows the teen’s whereabouts is asked to call Fayetteville police at 770-461-4441.
