Authorities are investigating the fatal shooting of a 30-year-old man Sunday at a motel in Cobb County. However, the victim’s family says they know who’s responsible, Channel 2 Action News reported.

Shawn Moore was killed at the Cumberland Lodge on South Cobb Drive, the station reported. He was shot in an upstairs room and rushed to a hospital by acquaintances, where he died.

Family members say they have passed along information about the incident to police, but so far no one has been charged.

“Senseless” was how Moore’s cousin, Annette Moore, termed the death, Channel 2 reported. But she would not say more, adding that there have been online threats.

Police investigators say they have been making progress and have been searching the crime scene for clues, Channel 2 reported.
