A Duluth man communicated with undercover investigators online for two weeks before arranging to meet someone he thought was a child for sex, authorities said.

Sung On Yi, 36, was arrested Tuesday after Cherokee County deputies said he drove to Woodstock to meet the child, who he believed to be younger than 15. He was met by investigators with the sheriff’s Internet Crimes Against Children Unit instead.

Investigators took Yi into custody about 1 p.m. without incident, according to Cherokee sheriff’s spokesman Capt. Jay Baker.
