A driver was killed early Thursday morning after their car hit a tree and caught on fire, Channel 2 Action News reported.

The driver and a passenger were traveling on Fairburn Road when the car hit a tree, South Fulton police Cpl. Maureen Smith told Channel 2.

Smith said the driver was ejected from the car and died at the scene.
