DeKalb County police on Monday asked the public’s help in tracking down a motorist who hit and killed a pedestrian walking along I-285.
About 3 a.m. Saturday, a hit-and-run driver fatally struck an unidentified 61-year-old man as he walked along I-285 north near the Indian Creek MARTA station exit, DeKalb police Maj. Stephen Fore said.
Detectives said the vehicle involved in the hit-and-run, an SUV, may have front-end damage with a broken driver side headlight and missing driver side mirror. The exact make, model and color are unknown, Fore said.
DeKalb police asked anyone with information about the accident to contact the agency’s traffic specialist unit at 770-724-7610.
