A clerk was shot in the foot Wednesday during a predawn robbery at a gas station and convenience store near Lithonia.

DeKalb County police are investigating the robbery, which happened around 4 a.m. at a RaceTrac station on Rock Chapel Road.

The manager of the RaceTrac told Channel 2 Action News that three people, two men and a woman, came into the store with guns and demanded money.

A woman working at the store was shot in the foot during the robbery, Channel 2 reported.

The thieves took money from a register before driving away in a tan-colored car.
