A man’s body was found decomposing in a wooded area on Southern Road in Morrow on Wednesday was identified Thursday.

Members of the Clayton County Water Authority found 55-year-old Darryl Harden while checking a malfunctioning drain, Clayton police spokeswoman Sgt. Ashanti Marbury said in a news release.

Harden went missing on March 10 and because he had been diagnosed with mental health problems, a Mattie’s Call had been issued March 16.

Foul play is not suspected, Marbury said.

“Detectives are still working to establish the circumstances that lead to the victim’s arrival at the location in which he was found,” Marbury said.
