A teenager was charged with arson after trespassing on Cobb County government property and setting equipment on fire, authorities announced Friday.

On the morning of June 17, Cobb firefighters discovered a fire at the 1800 block of County Services Parkway in unincorporated Marietta, according to a news release from the Cobb County Department of Public Safety.

Investigators found a male 15-year-old trespassing on the grounds of the Cobb County Department of Transportation after he intentionally set a tractor-trailer and a water tanker on fire, the release said.

He is being charged with second-degree arson. AJC.com does not identify minors unless they are being charged as adults.
