A woman went to the courthouse in Marietta for a drug test. She’s now on the run and wanted for three felonies.

Rebecca Darlene Poole allegedly failed that mandatory drug test last Thursday, and since she’s currently serving a three-year probation sentence, she ran away, Marietta police told Channel 2 Action News.

After running out of the courthouse on Haynes Street, she stole a 2004 Dodge Ram and sped off, hitting two pedestrians in the process, according to her arrest warrants. Two county employees had been chasing after Poole at the time.

One of the pedestrians was hit on the hip with the “front grill” of the pickup truck, according to the warrant. It’s unclear what injuries the two sustained.

Poole, who was born in 1983, has active warrants for hijacking a motor vehicle and two counts of aggravated assault after the incident. In 2004, Poole was convicted of cocaine in possession in Cobb County, according to Georgia Department of Corrections records.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact Marietta police at 770-794-5300.
