A 16-year-old girl recanted her account of being drugged, kidnapped and raped by a man while at a Union City park, authorities said Thursday.

She admitted to Union City police she left the area voluntarily with the man. They are now investigating the matter as an alleged sexual assault.

An updated account from the alleged victim was not released by police.

Her previous account reported by Channel 2 Action News had her being drugged with a laced cookie before waking up in a stranger’s home, naked and in pain.

She said she then jumped out of a second-floor window and ran into a couple and asked for help, the news station reported.

The girl was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital, where a rape kit was performed.

A description of the suspect has not been released.
