Cops say Georgia man charged in sexual assault knew victim
A Hall County man has been charged with rape and aggravated sodomy.

Dec 15, 2018A 20-year-old Hall County man has been charged with rape and aggravated sodomy in connection with an incident in 2017.
Jose Alfredo Vital was arrested Thursday after deputies received forensic test results from the GBI, sheriff’s spokesman Derreck Booth said in a statement.
Investigators said Vital committed the sexual assault during a party Oct. 22, 2017, at a residence in the 3000 block of Poplar Springs Road, according to Booth. Vital and the 21-year-old woman were acquainted.
Vital was arrested at his home in the 3200 block of Joe Chandler Road and was booked into the Hall County Jail without bond.
The investigation continues.
