Two men accused of assaulting another man with brass knuckles and a baseball bat were arrested Thursday in Hall County.
Jeffrey Lee Murphy, 33, and Robert Edward Tuttle, 32, allegedly confronted a man on Oliver Road on Monday evening, the Hall County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release. It’s unknown why they confronted the victim.
Murphy carried a wooden baseball bat and Tuttle had a pair of brass knuckles, the release said. They allegedly chased the victim near C. Loggins Road and beat him.
The man had to go to the hospital to treat his injuries, but he has since been released, authorities said.
Murphy was arrested Wednesday, and Tuttle was taken into custody Thursday, according to Hall County Jail records. They remain in jail without bond.
Both face an aggravated assault charge. Tuttle also faces a probation violation, jail records show.
An investigation is ongoing.
