A man who allegedly tried to hit two Henry County police officers with his car was arrested Sunday in Clayton County.

Joseph Jeannick Moore of Rex was arrested for a probation violation in Clayton County, but Henry County police have active warrants for vehicle pursuit and use of force with a firearm, Henry County police spokesman Joey Smith told AJC.com.

On Saturday, Moore allegedly fled a traffic stop and led police on a chase into a cul-de-sac on Autumn Lake Drive in McDonough, the GBI said.

As the officers approached, Moore’s vehicle began to drive toward them, prompting the officers to fire their weapons, the GBI said.

On Wednesday, GBI spokeswoman Nelly Miles said there were no updates in the investigation.

Moore remains in the Clayton County Jail without bond, according to records.
