Forsyth deputies are searching for a man who they said caused a two-car accident that killed a pregnant woman’s unborn child.

The woman was 8-months pregnant at the time of the crash.

Nicolas Alonzo-Ramos, along with two passengers, allegedly ran away from the crash scene on July 21, leaving the 26-year-old pregnant woman by herself, the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office said in a Facebook post.

The wreck took place on Canton Road just west of Sawnee Drive, the post said.

The woman was transported to a local hospital with visible injuries, the post said. The hospital told the sheriff’s office the unborn child died the next day due to injuries sustained in the crash.

An arrest warrant was obtained for Alonzo-Ramos on Thursday, the post said.

There’s is a $2,000 reward being offered for assistance in the capture of Alonzo-Ramos. Anyone with information is asked to called 404-577-8477.
