A Tennessee man was caught trafficking marijuana, THC edibles and ecstasy through Cobb County last week, authorities said.

Donald Reese, 34, of Nashville, was arrested after officers found nearly 35 pounds of drugs, $30,000 in cash and a firearm in his vehicle, according to an arrest warrant.

About 10:45 p.m. last Tuesday, Marietta police officers spotted Reese drive his vehicle through the gore along I-75 South near Delk Road, the warrant said. After initiating a traffic stop, officers said they found the stash of drugs hidden in various brief cases and plastic bags throughout the vehicle.

In total, police found about 26.6 pounds of marijuana, seven pounds of THC edibles and about 58 grams of ecstasy, the warrant said. Officers also seized $30,845 in cash and a handgun.

Reese was charged with trafficking marijuana, two counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, a firearm possession charge and a misdemeanor driving citation, Cobb County jail records show.

He remained in custody Monday night on a $55,220 bond.
