The man who allegedly robbed a jewelry store in Chamblee while wearing a sweatshirt that said “Be A Good Human” was arrested Tuesday in Forest Park, authorities said.

Alexander Shanel Brown, 43, of Conley, faces a second-degree burglary charge after being accused of stealing more than $100,000 worth of jewelry from Ringcrush on Peachtree Road on Good Friday, Chamblee police Capt. Ernesto Ford told AJC.com.

Surveillance footage was previously released that showed the suspect rummaging through the store until he found hundreds of rings, gems and earrings. A tipster identified Brown as the suspect to police, Ford said.

Chamblee and Forest Park police officers arrested Brown, who allegedly had most of the stolen jewelry from the burglary in his possession. He also still had the unique sweatshirt on him as well, Ford said.

On Tuesday afternoon, Ringcrush posted on Facebook about the arrest, saying, “Atlanta may have one or two bad apples (apple emoji) but seems like the majority of us are #goodhumans.”

Brown was booked into the DeKalb County jail, where he remained Tuesday night without bond, jail records show.
