Ricky Grace is accused of being one of the two armed men seen in surveillance video breaking into a Cobb County home in March, Smyrna police said.

A CrimeStoppers tip led to the arrest of a man accused of helping rob a Vinings Estates home after a 19-year-old woman falsely claimed she was pregnant to get the residents to open the door, Channel 2 Action News reported.

Ricky Grace, 25, of Hampton, was arrested Friday and remains in the Cobb County Jail without bond, according to jail records.

He's one of three people accused of participating in the burglary scheme in the 5100 block of Inwood Place on March 26, AJC.com previously reported.

Surveillance video from that night, obtained by Channel 2, appears to show Amanda Tanks, 19, of Fayetteville, say that the man inside owes her money for an abortion. Once the homeowner opened the door, two masked men carrying guns entered the home.

Tanks was arrested April 13 and charged with aggravated assault, first-degree home invasion burglary, false imprisonment and first-degree child cruelty, jail records show. She has since bonded out for $50,000.

Grace is accused of being one of the two masked men, and he faces the same charges as Tanks, jail records show. The other person has not been identified or arrested, Smyrna police said.

The woman who lives in the home spoke to the news station about the incident and how the masked men pointed a gun at her and her children.

“I hear them say, ‘Come on. Come on. I got the door open. Come on,’” the mother, who asked to remain anonymous, told Channel 2.

She’s relieved police have made an arrest, but she told the news station she moved from the home out of fear.

Grace was recently arrested for crimes in the Buckhead area. He was transferred to Cobb County from the Fulton County jail, Channel 2 reported.

Anyone with information on the third suspect is asked to contact CrimeStoppers at 404-577-8477.
