A Conyers woman was shot to death in a Newton County home on Wednesday night, authorities said.

About 10:45 p.m., deputies responded to a shooting call at a house off White Birch Drive in unincorporated Covington, the Newton County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.

The victim, 32-year-old Cassandra Arnold, was found with several gunshot wounds. She later died at a hospital.

It’s unclear if the woman lived in the home. No other information on the shooting investigation was released by authorities.
