Chamblee police are looking for two armed robbers accused of following a man home from a local grocery store then shooting him when he fought back.

The victim told police that, shortly before midnight Friday, the suspects followed him from a nearby Kroger store and attacked him in the driveway of his home on Longview Way.

“The victim attempted to fight the two suspects and was shot one time in the thigh,” and the bullet went through both legs, Chamblee police posted on Facebook. The robbers then took the victim’s 2016 Audi A6 rental car and drove off.

Only vague descriptions were provided of the suspects. The stolen vehicle was later recovered in Clayton County and will be processed for fingerprints and other evidence, authorities said.

The victim was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital and is expected to survive his injuries.
