An Atlanta man was arrested Monday after being accused of punching his ex-girlfriend in the face and threatening to kill her and her four children, authorities said.
Clemon Tremayne Forts, 33, faces four felonies for the alleged domestic violence incident from November 2018, the Clayton County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.
On Nov. 25, he got into an altercation with a woman he used to live with in Riverdale, the release said. He’s accused of punching her, leaving her face with visible bruising.
He then pulled out a handgun, pointed it at her and threatened to shoot her if she did not “stop lying,” the release said. He then allegedly stole her car and sent her threatening text messages, including that her and her kids were all going to “die, today.”
He faces charges of aggravated assault, battery (family violence), terroristic threats and theft by taking, jail records show. He remains in jail without bond.
