State troopers have made an arrest in a Conyers hit-and-run that killed a Covington man, an official announced Friday.

Romeo Deshawn Winston, 25, of Conyers was charged Thursday with vehicular homicide and failure to report an accident, said Tracey Watson, spokeswoman for the Georgia State Patrol.

He is accused of killing Kerry Devon Milliner, 55, of Covington, when he was walking on Iris Drive around 6 a.m. on Dec. 13, Watson said. Another driver, who also struck Milliner, reported the crash.

Winston was booked into the Rockdale County jail. He is being held without bond, according to jail records.
