A man who walked into a bank on Windy Ridge Parkway with a handgun and demanded money from a teller Monday is the same man police believe robbed four other banks in Cobb County.
In February, a man in his late 30s to early 40s with short, reddish-brown hair and a full beard robbed the Fifth Third Bank at 4209 Roswell Road in Marietta. A man fitting the same description then robbed two more banks on Roswell Road. Cobb police spokeswoman Alicia Chilton said he hit the Regions Bank at 2486 Roswell Road on April 1 and the BB&T Bank on May 25.
About a month and a half later, on July 13, the man robbed the PNC Bank located at 1111 Johnson Ferry Road in Marietta.
On Monday, the same man carried a handgun into the Fidelity Bank on Windy Ridge Parkway and demanded more money, Chilton said. No one was injured during the crime.
Surveillance video showed he wore a striped, collared shirt and khaki pants. He was also wearing a tan baseball cap and sunglasses.
