Clayton County police said Friday that they arrested a man who was wanted in Jacksonville, Fla., on a murder charge.

Kevin Dwayne Hamilton, 37, was taken into custody Tuesday, police said in a Facebook post. Officers had regarded Hamilton as a suspicious person in the Old Dixie Highway area and made contact with him.

Officers found Hamilton had an active warrant for murder in the Jacksonville area, police said. Also, he still had a bus ticket in his pocket.

Hamilton is wanted in connection with the June 25 shooting death of Benjamin Alvin Frazier, 47, the Florida Times-Union reported.

Witnesses told investigators that the slain man and Hamilton knew each other and the suspect had been bullied over the last year, a Duval County, Fla., sheriff’s spokesman said.
