Clayton County Police have arrested an armed robbery suspect who opened fire on Clayton County authorities before leading them on a car chase into Henry County.

Brandon Hoskins, 25, was apprehended on Bank Drive in Stockbridge around 3 p.m. Henry County police Capt. Joey Smith said Hoskins was apprehended by K-9 units “after a brief foot chase.” He was found hiding under a shed.

Clayton County police Sgt. Ashanti Marbury said the car chase began on McDonough Road “after an officer witnessed an armed robbery.”

Channel 2 reported that Hoskins drove off after opening fire on officers and an officer returned fire.

The chase ended when the Hoskins’ car crashed on Banks Road in Stockbridge, Marbury said.
