A Clarkston man wanted on a murder charge in DeKalb County has been arrested in Indiana.

LaParrish London, 22, was jailed Saturday in the March 24 death of Eric Terrell in Clarkston, DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Cynthia Williams said.

London was arrested during a traffic stop in Evansville, the Evansville Courier & Press reported. He is being held there pending extradition to Georgia.

A murder warrant was issued Aug. 11 by a DeKalb magistrate, Williams said. London is also wanted on probation warrants issued in January related to previous arrests on drug charges, she said.

Crime Stoppers Atlanta had listed London as armed and dangerous.

DeKalb County authorities did not immediately provide additional details about the case, but a previous AJC story said the shooting happened in the wee hours at the Portofino Apartments on Brockett Way.

At the time, Clarkston police Chief Christine Hudson told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution that officers responding to a report of gunshots found a man dead outside the apartments with multiple wounds, including a shot to the head.

Hudson said the shooting was the city’s first homicide “in a couple of years.”
