The owner of a cheer gym, who was caught on social media kicking her dachshund, was indicted on Wednesday for misdemeanor cruelty to animals.
Stephanie Breckenridge Britt allegedly kicked her dog, Charlie, out of the way of an August practice, Savannah Now reported.
Britt owns Cheer Savannah, a cheer gym in Savannah.
The incident was caught on camera and circulated online across social media.
Benedictine Military School on Nov. 25 suspended Britt from the cheer program she coordinated, the newspaper reported.
By the end of that week the Chatham County District Attorney’s office said it was investigating.
