After nearly a week on the run, the third person accused of breaking into a large Fayette County home and killing the 74-year-old man who lived there was captured by U.S. Marshals, according to the sheriff’s office.
Travione Keonte Reynolds, 21, of Atlanta, was taken into custody without incident at a DeKalb County residence Thursday morning, Fayette Sheriff Barry Babb said Friday.
Reynolds had been wanted since Albert Eugene DeMagnus was stabbed to death during a June 23 home invasion in an upscale, lakeside community. According to the Georgia Secretary of State’s Office and his own LinkedIn profile, DeMagnus was the CEO of Computer Management Services, Inc.
Jeffrey Lee Wallace, 22, of Atlanta, and Kavion Wyzeenski Tookes, 21, of Decatur, were previously charged with malice murder in connection with DeMagnus' death.
According to the sheriff's office, Wallace, Tookes and Reynolds broke into DeMagnus' home on Lake Horton Landing Drive, demanded cash and jewelry and stabbed the man.
When Fayette deputies got to the home about 2:30 a.m., they found DeMagnus with a stab wound, Babb said. He was taken to Piedmont Fayette Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Authorities are looking into why the suspects targeted DeMagnus’ house.
