Authorities are investigating a shooting that left a 17-year-old boy dead early Tuesday in north Fulton County.
The body of Kobe Williams was found about 1:30 a.m. during a security sweep behind building No. 1500 at the Nesbitt Ferry Crossing Apartment Homes, Roswell police said in an incident report. He had been shot multiple times, according to Channel 2 Action News.
“Our investigators are currently on scene canvassing the area, searching for witnesses and working on leads in this case,” Roswell police Lt. Noah Caplan said.

The teen, who lived at the apartment complex in the 1500 block of Saratoga Drive, once attended Centennial High School in Roswell.
Fulton County Schools spokeswoman Susan Hale said he had friends and extended family at the school.
“A crisis team was dispatched to the school immediately upon the news of his death and they were in place before school started,” Hale said.
No other details were released.
