Police responded to the call originally as a domestic dispute, and Channel 2 reported that a man’s estranged wife escaped the home as the situation escalated. Her husband, identified Friday as Munajj Siddeeq, and another man were the two people barricaded inside the home with the kids, according to officials.

Police told the news station the woman and Siddeeq are the parents of the two kids.

Channel 2 reported that nearby schools did not release children until the situation was resolved.
As a SWAT team approached the home, the two kids were released, and the men turned themselves in moments later, the news station reported. Siddeeq is charged with false imprisonment. The other man’s name and the charges against him have not been released.
