Suspect on run after 1 shot outside Cobb gas station

A suspect is on the run after shooting one person at a gas station in Cobb County Friday evening, police said.
The suspect shot the person at the Texaco at 2561 Windy Hill Road near I-75 about 9:30 p.m., Cobb County police Sgt. Wayne Delk said.
The shooting victim is expected to survive.

Police aren’t sure what led to the shooting but say the suspect got into a black Dodge Charger and fled the scene.
“We had a description given to us by a witness,” Delk said Friday evening. “We’re hoping we have actual video footage so we can confirm that.”
The police activity backed up traffic along Windy Hill Road, which was already heavy as fans left the Braves game at SunTrust Park, the WSB 24-hour Traffic Center reported.
