Authorities have charged Terrence Darnell Lee with murder and first-degree home invasion in connection with the May 14 shooting death of 17-year-old Christian Manuel, sheriff’s office spokeswoman Yolande Lovingood-Moore said Friday.

Manuel was shot just before 3:15 a.m. in the 700 block of Pleasant Hill Road in Conyers, AJC.com reported in May. Friends rushed him to Piedmont Rockdale Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Lee, 32, of Conyers, has been in jail without bond since last summer, when he was arrested on murder and other charges in the Aug. 2 death of 27-year-old Kemar Hawkins.

Hawkins was found shot inside a home in the 3500 block of Grand Manor Trail near Snellville early Aug. 2 and later died at a local hospital. Police said the shooter entered the home by prying the screen off an open window.

One home invasion occurred July 28 in the same neighborhood where Hawkins was killed. The next day, he broke into a home in the 4000 block of Moonbeam Way in unincorporated Snellville, police said.

According to testimony from a detective at an August hearing, Lee found his victims by parking at the QuikTrip gas station on Centerville Highway in Snellville and following them home, where he would force his way in and rob the residents at gunpoint.

In November, Lee was indicted on 38 charges tied to the home invasions in July and August, and 10 charges from another home invasion that allegedly occurred in May.

Details about the Florida case and the evidence that led to new charges against Lee have not been released.
