A carjacking led to a chase, three arrests and shots fired at an Atlanta police officer early Thursday in northwest Atlanta.

The incident began when a person flagged down police in the area of a parking deck at 150 Piedmont Ave., Atlanta police Capt. J.D. Patterson told Channel 2 Action News.

He told them four men robbed him at gunpoint.

“Our investigative units immediately responded to the parking deck,” Patterson said.

A vehicle sped away and the suspects led officers on a chase, according to Channel 2.

Police later canvassed the area of Devonshire Place and Moores Mill Road and found three of the four men and a gun, Channel 2 reported.

No officers were hurt in the incident.
