Four people, including two children, were rescued after their car crashed into an embankment filled with water in DeKalb County, an official said Friday morning.

The car lost control on Panthersville Road near Tolliver Road, fire Capt. Eric Jackson told Channel 2 Action News.

Three of the four people were rescued by a deputy, and the other was rescued from the top of a car by fire crews, officials said.

The people were cold, and taken to a hospital to be checked out, the news station reported.

Wind chills have been in the single digits across metro Atlanta all morning.
