SWAT entered Roswell hotel room, used Taser to end 3-hour standoff
After a three-hour standoff with police, a man who barricaded himself in a Ramada Inn in Roswell was taken into custody around 5 p.m. for terroristic threats against law enforcement.
The man refused to come out of the hotel on Mansell Road after employees called the police for causing a disturbance, Roswell police spokeswoman Sgt. Britney Rodgers told AJC.com.
When officers attempted to make contact around 2 p.m., the man threatened to shoot at police.
The North Fulton SWAT and Crisis Negotiations teams assisted police in the standoff, and a Taser was used on the subject.
The man’s identity has not been released.
