A man on the run for nearly two weeks after being accused of shooting two College Park police officers has been arrested, according to College Park police.

The U.S. Marshal’s fugitive unit found Kendarrious Chester sleeping in a vehicle behind an occupied home Thursday in the 1000 block of Metropolitan Parkway, College Park Deputy Chief Ferman Williford said.

The U.S. Marshal’s fugitive unit made the arrest and turned him over to College Park police.

His arrest followed a report of a domestic dispute May 27, police said. During the incident, Chester allegedly shot two officers inside the Red Snapper restaurant on Old National Highway.

The officers are doing well, according to the the Clayton County Sheriff’s Office.

A $5,000 reward was offered in the search for Chester.

The U.S. Marshal’s task force, College Park police, Clayton County police and Clayton County sheriff’s office participated in the investigation.
