3 dead in wrong-way crash in south Fulton; victims ID’d

The head-on collision happened in Union City early Monday morning.

Three people are dead after a wrong-way, two-vehicle crash early Monday in south Fulton County, authorities said.

Two of the victims were Kathy Stevens and Michael Fullwood, according to Dennis Moore, spokesman for the Union City Fire Department.

The third victim was identified as Kenniss Harrell, a former DeKalb County fire department captain and American Medical Response employee, AMR confirmed to Channel 2 Action News.

Harrell, who was driving the wrong way on South Fulton Parkway, and Fullwood, a passenger in the other vehicle, were both dead at the scene, Moore said.

Stevens, the driver of the other vehicle, was flown to Grady Memorial Hospital, where she died from her injuries. She had to be freed from a Camaro, Channel 2 reported.

Union City police are investigating the crash. A witness told Channel 2 that a Lexus was the vehicle going the wrong way.

AMR released a statement to the news station that said: “Mr. Harrell was an employee with AMR. Our deepest condolences to the families impacted.”
