Family members identified one of the victims as DaQuell Worthy, a graduate of Westlake High School.

A 19-year-old man was killed and his girlfriend was injured after a possible home invasion early Friday, South Fulton police said.

The man was found dead on the scene about 4:50 a.m. in the 6400 block of Celtic Drive, police spokeswoman Officer Partrena Baker said in a statement.

Family members identified him as DaQuell Worthy, a graduate of Westlake High School.

A woman who was also shot was taken to a hospital, and her wound is not considered life-threatening, the statement said. She was Worthy’s girlfriend, Channel 2 Action News reported. Her identity has not been released.

No arrests have been made. There were no signs of forced entry into the residence, according to Baker.

“Preliminary investigation reveals that subject(s) entered the home ... through the garage door,” she said.

Worthy’s uncle, Howard Lawson, lives in the house and said he was awakened by the incident.

“All I heard is a gunshot,” he told Channel 2.

When he went to check that out, he said he found his nephew “lying in the hallway.”

He heard the girlfriend say, “Somebody killed him.”
