A Costco store in Cobb County had to be evacuated Monday afternoon after a bomb threat.

Cobb police received a 911 call from the Kennesaw Costco about a potential bomb. Police arrived on the scene within minutes and investigated but no explosive devices were found, authorities said.

The store, located in Town Center Commons in the 600 block of Barrett Parkway, and the parking lot were evacuated by management for two hours, Costco media relations and police confirmed.

The building was back in regular operation shortly after 3:30 p.m., Costco said.
