A car with a body inside was found Wednesday morning along I-85, about half a mile south of the U.S. 129 exit in Jefferson, police said.
The victim had an apparent gunshot wound to the head, GBI spokeswoman Nelly Miles said. There’s no indication of foul play.
Authorities did not say if the victim was a man or a woman. The GBI will perform an autopsy.
The car has an out-of-state license plate, but police didn’t specify the state.
