Atlanta police investigating after body found

Police are investigating after a woman’s body was found Wednesday near Chappell Road and Conway Place in northwest Atlanta, Channel 2 Action News reported.

The body, which was badly decomposed, was found wrapped in blankets near a sidewalk, Channel 2 reported.

Homicide detectives were called to the scene, the station reported. Further details were not available.
