Body found near old school in DeKalb County

A man walking his dog early Thursday told DeKalb County police he heard gunshots. Later, he saw a body on Glenwood Road and called 911.

The body was found near the former Atherton Elementary School, Channel 2 Action News reported. The school closed in 2011.

The witness did not see a shooter before seeing the body, he told police.
