Police are awaiting the results of an autopsy on the badly decomposed body of a man found in northwest Atlanta Monday afternoon.

The body was found in a wooded area near a Family Dollar store on Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway at about 3:30 p.m.

The cause and manner of death will be determined after the autopsy, said police. The case has not yet been ruled a homicide.
