A man wanted in connection with a fatal shooting in Austin, Texas, was arrested Wednesday in Atlanta, authorities said.

Endicott Ishmael McCray, 24, of Flugerville, Texas, is in the Fulton County jail after being taken into custody in East Point, U.S. Marshals Service spokesman Tony Schilling said. McCray is charged with being a fugitive from justice, Fulton County sheriff’s spokesman Tracy Flanagan said.

McCray was sought by police after a downtown Austin shooting early Sunday that killed one woman, Teqnika Marie Moultrie, 30, and injured four others. Investigators say McCray was attempting to shoot his brother-in-law, the Austin American-Statesman reported.

Marshals found McCray near the East Point bus and train station, Schilling said. Agents had learned Tuesday he would be in the area and began surveillance. Schilling doesn’t know why McCray came to the Atlanta area.

Marshals spotted a person who matched McCray’s description walking down a street while wearing a raincoat. Schilling said the raincoat “stood out a little bit on a hot day.” The suspect was detained without incident and admitted who he was.
