A father of five was found dead behind the wheel of his car Sunday morning, and police still have not found his shooter, according to Channel 2 Action News.

An officer on patrol stopped to check on a red Pontiac still running in the middle of Crogman Street and Moury Avenue about 2 a.m., investigators told the news station.

A resident called police after hearing three to four gunshots and spotting the car at the bottom of the hill, according to Channel 2. The lights were on and the car was on the wrong side of the road, the resident said.

The officer approached the car and noticed shattered glass, multiple bullet holes and 40-year-old Michael Henley slumped over the steering wheel, investigators said.

Henley had been shot multiple times, Atlanta police Lt. Ricardo Vazquez told Channel 2.

Detectives believe Henley was shot elsewhere before driving or rolling down the steep hill and ending up at the intersection of Crogman Street and Moury Avenue.

A neighbor said she noticed a car parked down at the bottom of the hill, on the wrong side of the road, with the lights on.

His wife, Senetra Henley, said she got the news of her husband’s death when police knocked on her door early Sunday morning.

“I can’t live like this,” she told Channel 2. “I can’t live without him, but I have to. We had dreams. We had plans. They’re all gone.”

Anyone with information about the deadly shooting is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 404-577-8477.
