Six months after Keosha Tinch was found riddled with bullets in a SUV outside a southwest Atlanta apartment complex, FBI officials have arrested the man they believe killed her.

Dwight Lewis, 27, was arrested Thursday in Detroit on murder charges stemming from the Feb. 2 shooting, FBI Atlanta Special Agent Stephen Emmett said.

Lewis allegedly shot and killed 16-year-old Tinch after a fight with her inside the SUV at the Deerfield Gardens Apartments, Emmett said.

Tinch, then a junior at Columbia High School, died a week before her birthday.

Lewis will remain in the Wayne County Detention Center, where he will await extradition proceedings.
